The International Conference Reflections on Doctoral Training: Tensions, Challenges, and Possibilities, organized by the Catholic University of Argentina and the Catholic University of Cuyo, brought together academics and researchers to reflect on ongoing pedagogical projects and doctoral-level research. The inaugural conference focuses on thesis supervision and supervisor training.
In the second section, the discussions of the panel doctoral program management are presented. The first chapter emphasizes the importance of comprehensive curriculum management. The second reflects on the need to design a training proposal that caters to diverse doctoral candidate profiles without compromising quality. Finally, challenges in managing interdisciplinary and inter-faculty programs are analyzed.
The third section covers panel interventions on thesis workshops. The first chapter reflects on training researchers in social sciences through the presentation of two different thesis workshops. Subsequently, the others chapters discuss two pedagogical tools for supporting postgraduate writing processes: thesis workshops and writing groups.
The last section, contains papers presented by various researchers, which cover: academic production in Psychopedagogy, the current state of the Doctorate in Psychology at the Argentine Catholic University, written feedback, and virtual writing groups.
